Langley Central Rotary Presidents Report.

As an ongoing fundraiser, our forth year, "O Christmas Tree"  is coming into the size and maturity that is only produced by a consistent focused effort by committed individuals. I applaud all the Rotary Club members that have made this possible and look forward to a great year coming up.

Funds from these events will go towards medical equipment for Langley Memorial Hospital, music scholarships, and the Langley Lodge expansion program.
Breakfast with Santa is a non fundraising event and aimed at providing a touch of Christmas for the less fortunate children of the community. Funded solely by sponsorships, and volunteers.

About the Event. Four events are tied into the "O Christmas Tree" fundraiser.  Christmas Trees at the hospital.  Choir Competition at the Langley Music School.  Breakfast with Santa at Douglas Park Community Centre.  The Grand Gala which this year will be held in March of 2009 at Newlands Golf and Country Club. This date was chosen to reduce conflicts with other events taking place within the Christmas period.

The hard work of the many committees pulled the Rotary team to a new high. This year will be no exception, lessons learned will be applied to this years events. Funds raised will be directed back into the community and that's where we hope you will come in as a sponsor.

Christmas is a time of giving; give hope and a smile to someone in need at Christmas.
